Uri currently serves as Regesh’s Executive Director and oversees our numerous programs, including our anger management clinic, individual counselling, child and adolescent therapy, family therapy, and StepUp and EYER at our employment support division. Uri has been instrumental in Regesh’s operations for the past 25 years. He has an extensive background in the mental health field and operated his own youth mental health agency, Harmony Youth Services, for just over 10 years. Uri is committed to making Regesh’s services as accessible as possible through community support and fundraising so that we can deliver necessary mental health services to our clients across income levels. Currently, Uri focuses his wide-ranging business and mental health experience on supporting our clients’ wellbeing and helping them to meet their goals through accessible mental health supports.
Edwin Schild (BA, MSc)
Senior Clinical Supervisor
Ed has extensive experience in designing, consulting and running various treatment modalities, including residential treatment group and foster homes. He has trained many interns over the years and has taught multiple courses at conferences across North America. Ed has devoted a lot of his work toward various committee and board engagements over the years. He continues to actively contribute his expertise to Regesh.
Mykaela Miersch (Social Service Worker Graduate)
Program Facilitator & Teacher
Mykaela teaches and facilitates our Youth Employment Program, EYER, proudly funded by the Government of Canada. For her, the best part of working at Regesh is that she sees her students authentically engage and come out of their shells. Mykaela feels inspired to make a difference in their lives by helping them grow as individuals. An alumni from the Social Service Worker Program at Niagara College, Mykaela has passionately worked with youth in foster homes and group homes for the past 4 years.
Tyler Yanch (Child & Youth Care Worker)
Tyler has worked with Regesh’s Reconnecting Youth Program and currently runs our StepUp: Skills for Success employment skills development program in partnership with Employment Ontario. Tyler is an alumnus from the Child and Youth Care Program at Seneca College and has been passionately working with Regesh for over 5 years.
Office and Marketing Manager
Jennifer manages the office and digital marketing for Regesh. She helps to promote Regesh’s various programs, such as EYER, and is responsible for administrative tasks at the office. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Illustration degree from Sheridan College.
Elena Serra (MACP)
Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist
Elena Serra is a Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. She holds a Master of Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University. As an integrative therapist, she has a warm, client-led approach, integrating elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and other approaches. She has been working with a broad range of clients and presenting concerns since 2020. Elena helps individuals, couples and families aged 13+ with problems such as trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, overeating, and personality disorders. She specializes in complex PTSD.
Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist
Rashmeet has assisted families and helped children and teenagers with special needs and skills grow intellectually, emotionally, and academically. She employs a strength-based approach, identifying the special strengths of every person and assisting in their empowerment to develop. She is eclectic and combines components of play therapy, psychodynamic, ABA, and CBT.
Leah’s approach to therapy is highly collaborative with a strong emphasis on creating a safe therapeutic relationship. While her primary theoretical approach is cognitive-behavioural therapy, she integrates other approaches such as Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotion-Focussed Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Narrative therapy. Leah provides therapy for individuals ages 16 and up who are struggling with anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues, trauma, stress and overwhelm, and self-esteem issues. She also provides couples and relationship counselling to those who are experiencing communication problems, conflict management difficulties, negative relationship patterns and trust issues.
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Michael believes that each person is the expert of his/her experience and has a wellspring of insight to guide them through their problems. He explains, “Often we can’t change our circumstance, but we can change how we relate to them.” Through care and understanding Michael helps clients perceive the source of their problems, providing clients with concrete solutions and the vision of a hopeful future. Sessions are an exciting process of self-discovery and growth. Michael is an excellent listener and is non-judgmental. He specializes in couples/relationship issues, men’s issues, depression, anxiety and increasing life satisfaction. Michael utilizes an eclectic approach including CBT, Solution Focused Therapy and Innate Health.
We offer college and university students the opportunity for on-site learning through student placements within our programs.
