Edwin Schild (BA, MSc)
Ed has extensive experience in designing, consulting and running various treatment modalities, including residential treatment group and foster homes. He has trained many interns over the years and has taught multiple courses at conferences across North America. Ed has devoted a lot of his work toward various committee and board engagements over the years. He continues his administrative duties while also seeing clients at Regesh.
Uri Schild (CYW)
Uri has been working in the mental health field with children and youth for the past 24 years in a variety of capacities. He enjoys making a difference in people’s lives and strives to help where he can. Uri is passionate about his work and feels that the more care we put into children, youth and families today, the more independent they will be in the future.
Fal Desai (Hons. BA, BSW, MSW, RSW)
Fal’s passion is helping children and families make sense of difficult life experiences and strengthen relationships. She has worked with children, youth, and families in a variety of diverse settings. Her skills and training qualify her to work with issues of trauma, anxiety, bereavement, grief, and loss.
Mykaela Miersch (SSW)
Program Facilitator & Teacher
Mykaela teaches and facilitates our Youth Employment Program, EYER, proudly funded by the Government of Canada. For her, the best part of working at Regesh is that she sees her students authentically engage and come out of their shells. Mykaela feels inspired to make a difference in their lives by helping them grow as individuals. Mykaela studied social work at Niagara College and has passionately worked with youth in foster homes and group homes for the past 3 years.
Rachel Karantayer (Hons. DTR)
Director of Marketing
Rachel is passionate in all forms of Digital Marketing for a greater cause, from content creation to SEO, Rachel takes pride in working for such an impactful organization. As someone with a Bachelors in Recreation Therapy, she finds harmony in being able to reach out to potential clients to help them change their lives for the better.
For the past few years, Rachel has been Marketing her own art business, and is a 2 time Art Vendor at an established Business venue in King City, ON.
Lena Li (B.Sci; MACP Candidate)
Clinical Psychotherapy Student & Teaching Assistant
Lena has a Bachelor of Science – Psychology Specialization from the University of Toronto, and is currently completing a Master’s program in Counseling Psychology at Yorkville University. Lena has also completed certificate programs in Cognitive Processing Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Since August 2019, she has been volunteering for a suicide prevention center. Her volunteer work has given her the privilege to work with many youth who inspire her with their courage and resilience. Lena feels fortunate to have her clinical placement at Regesh, both as a Psychotherapy Student and T.A. of Regesh’s Employment Program (EYER).
We offer college and university students the opportunity for on-site learning through student placements within our programs.
